Algae are appealing for several reasons. الطحالب مناشده لعدة أسباب. One of these reasons is that algae contain a great deal of natural oil. واحد من هذه الاسباب هو ان الطحالب تحتوي على قدر كبير من الزيوت الطبيعيه. This will result in much lower fuel costs for both individuals and businesses. وسيؤدي هذا الى انخفاض كبير في تكاليف الوقود بالنسبة لكل من الأفراد والمؤسسات التجارية.

If more area was used to grow algae there would be enough algae biodiesel to power many vehicles. واذا كان اكثر منطقة تستخدم لنمو الطحالب سيكون هناك ما يكفي من الطحالب قوة الديزل الحيوي لعدد كبير من المركبات. Even though this type of fuel is being used by some people there is still a long way to go. رغم ان هذا النوع من الوقود التي يستخدم بعض الناس لا يزال هناك طريق طويل.
